Sydney: 4:15am at The Cenotaph in Martin Place
Melbourne: 6am at the Shrine of Remembrance on St Kilda Road
Brisbane: 4:28am at the Shrine of Remembrance on Adelaide Street
Perth: 6am at the State War Memorial in Kings Park
Adelaide: 6am at the SA War Memorial on Kintore Avenue
Hobart: 6am at The Cenotaph on the Queens Domain
Canberra: 4:30am at the Australian War Memorial on Treloar Crescent
Darwin: 6am at The Cenotaph on The Esplanade
BOOZE
Most liquor stores including BWS, Dan Murphy’s, Liquorland, First Choice, Vintage Cellars and Liquor Market will be open from either 1pm or 2pm.
Rules around pubs and clubs vary by state.
NSW pubs can open in the morning.
In Queensland, pubs can serve alcohol from 10am but only if accompanying a meal, but RSLs are allowed to serve alcohol in the morning.
In Victoria they must wait until at least noon, although RSLs can apply to serve alcohol in the morning.
The rules are similar in WA, where pubs and RSLs can open early if they’re part of an official Anzac Day function.
Pubs in South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and NT will more or less trade as normal.
CINEMAS
Event Cinemas will trade normally in all states except for Queensland, where doors will open at 1:30pm with sessions starting from 1:45pm.
SHOPPING CENTRES
Westfield shopping centres will open from 1pm in NSW, Victoria and the ACT, while all centres in Queensland and WA will be closed.
SUPERMARKETS
Aldi stores in NSW, Victoria and South Australia will be open with reduced trading hours. Some stores in Queensland and all stores in WA will be closed.
Woolworths stores in NSW, Victoria and ACT will be open from 1pm except for 333 George Street, Sydney Metcentre, The Kitchen Double Bay, Melbourne Central, Bourke Street and Collins Square which will be closed.
Stores in Tasmania will be open from 12:30pm while stores in NT will be open all day.
Most stores in WA will be closed except Newman (11am), Carnvarvon, Broome, Derby, Wickham, Karratha, Albany Bayonet Head, Albany Dog Rock, Albany Brooks Garden, Eaton Fair and Margaret River (noon) and Dalyellup, Busselton Kent Street and Port Hedland (1pm).
All Queensland stores will be closed except Brisbane Airport, Tweed City, Tweed Heads, Ballina Fair, Ballina River Street, Cabarita, Casino, Goonellabah, Kingscliff, Lismore Central, Lismore Square, Mullumbimby and Byron Bay (1pm).
